Glyptoteket is a museum in Copenhagen full of rich historical statues, a courtyard garden full of palm trees and an amazing rooftop with a Copenhagen City Centre panorama. But mainly. An amazing architectural masterpiece on its own.

If you want to put an art activity in your Copenhagen itinerary, this museum must be on your list.

As an art lover and museum seeker whenever I am traveling, Ancient artefacts, scalps and paintings are not quite my style. And still, I consider Glyptoteket as one of the most must visits in Copenhagen. My reasoning is simple: it is the overall vibe and feeling once you enter Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket. Beautiful courtyard garden full of palms about 20 meter tall give you the “wow factor”. These palm trees are grown in the childhood home of Carl Jacobsen (founder of Carlsberg brewery).

Another interesting fact about its beauty are walls which are painted in different colors in each room.

And not to forget the amazing rooftop with city view and café to make the visit even more hygge.

P.S. every Tuesday you can visit the museum for free
